My name is Demi-Louise and I am 22 years old! I was born in Plymouth but raised in a small costal town in Kent when my family made the decision to relocate when I was young. I have a six year old sister Lucy, who is almost as nutty as me! I am a hairdresser by trade, in which I have won awards – I pride myself on my hair work and I enjoy incorporating it into pageantry too! Six years ago I was drawn to pageantry through my local carnival court where I spent the year representing my town of Sheppey in events all around Kent. I saw my first ever national stage in 2016 representing curves on stage and I haven’t looked back since. There is nothing more empowering then the feeling of being on stage as well as the support and confidence your fellow contestants give is something like no other. Over my years in pageantry I have enjoyed getting women to embrace themselves and encouraging them to compete.I have dedicated my time to raising awareness for Fibromyalgia which is a condition that I suffer with and it’s an invisible illness which many people do not know the depth of – over the years I have worked closely with Fibromyalgia Action UK and I also help run a local support group where we have bimonthly meetings for sufferers – Fibromyalgia can be very isolating and through these groups we have made friends with people who experience the same day to day life and understand the struggle. One thing I have learnt is that you never understand your full potential and you should never underestimate yourself and should always push for more.I look forward to sharing the stage with the Diamond Class of 2019! Shine bright like a Diamond girls ✨
